Dr. Brian O’Donnell is a life-long resident of Northeastern Pennsylvania who has dedicated his professional life to helping people achieve excellent eye health and good vision. He has been practicing optometry since 1992 and is committed to offering local area residents the finest possible care that he and modern optometry can provide.
A knowledgeable, well-trained optometrist
Dr. O’Donnell was an audiologist (studying and treating hearing, balance and hearing disorders) before returning to school and training to become an eye doctor. He received his Master of Science degree from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 1987. Then in 1992, he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.
He continues to stay informed in the most current technologies and practices of modern eye care through advanced coursework, exceeding the required amount of continuing education and training, and through his memberships in the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association.
Very active in the community
Dr. O’Donnell is an extremely active participant in the local community and feels fortunate to be in a position to be able to help in many different ways. He founded the Gift of Sight program, which now serves underprivileged people with sight problems in three counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania by having eye doctors in the area donate a portion of their eyeglass sales.
He has also served and serves on many boards in an effort to help the community.
A family man
When he is not busy bringing visual clarity to area residents or helping to direct local government and community organizations, Dr. O’Donnell enjoys spending time with his wife Marcy and their son, Brian Jr.
